ATHLETICS

Heritage High School is a member of the Bay Valley Athletic League and the North Coast Section.

Eligibility:

Heritage has 4 grading periods; one for each quarter. Students must be enrolled in at least 4 classes and maintain a 2.0 GPA during the grading period immediately prior to and during their sport to be eligible under CIF rules. If they are enrolled in 8 classes they may not receive more than 2 F's. If they are enrolled in less that 8 classes they may receive no more than 1 F in a grading period.

Academic Probation:

Per LUHSD policy, a student may apply for academic probation if their previous grade report was no less than a 1.75 gpa and the student adheres to the provisions in their probation contract. Students can receive academic probation no more than once per year.

Transportation Fees:

As determined by the LUHSD Board of Education, students that compete on a high school team will be charged the following as a transportation fee: the first sport the student plays in a school year is $75, the second sport is $50, and the 3rd sport is $35. Students who are placed on a roster by the Head Coach will be immediately billed for the transportation fee. That bill is due prior to the beginning of that team's BVAL season. Failure to finish the season for any reason including injury, eligibility, or quitting the team does not remove the bill from the student. All transportation bills are to be paid in the Student Store with the financial clerk and NOT given to the coaching staff or Athletic Director. All money collected from Transportation fees is used soley for student transportation.
